He has no known grave: CWGC - Casualty Details CWGC - Cemetery Details There are now nearly 70, 1939-45 war casualties commemorated in this site. Of these, almost 30 are unidentified and three of them, whose graves in the cemetery could not be precisely located, are commemorated by special memorials inscribed "Buried near this spot". I suspect he will be one of the 30.
Hi Drew I am still searching for information on Lt Dick Allen who was with 65th Field Regiment 258 battery. I see from this post of the war diary that the 258 were amalgamated with 260 battery on 26th May. Do you have the page for the 19th which might tell me what was happening that day? Cheers Mark
