610 Squadron formed at Hooton Park in Cheshire in February 1936. To mark its 80th anniversary an exhibition on the history of the County of Chester 'Battle of Britain' squadron is being staged at Fort Perch Rock, New Brighton, Wallasey. This historic fort opposite Liverpool houses a museum of WW11 aviaition exhibits including the engine of a Spitfire that crashed at nearby Birkenhead Park
