When the Regiment arrived in North Africa with the 237th and 239th Batteries, with what guns were they armed?

I have seen reports of 18Pdrs & reports of 18/25Pdrs.which is correct?

I understand that in October of 1941 they were upgraded to 25Pdrs.

    Kind Regards,
    David.

According to this link it was 24 x 18 Pdrs upgraded to 24 x 25 Pdrs in Nov 1941. I should imagine that the definitive answer lies in the War Diary. If this doesn't exist try the archivist at Firepower Museum as they have a lot of data on the Regiments. Certainly for my Dad's LAA Regiment this gave me the dates of arrival of new guns, predictors etc.

According to "All the Enemies: The remarkable deeds of the Lincolnshire Gunners" by Jack Bartlett and John Benson, early in October 1941 the regiment handed in the guns they brought from England and received brand new Mark II 25-pounders. Also, according to the same history, in October 1940 the regiment received new guns, the latest 18/25 pounders which fired a 25-pound shell off an 18-pounder gun carriage. I would assume these were the guns they brought to Egypt and were equipped with in Cyprus, Iraq and Syria.

Ok guys, thanks for the correction. Easy to see now how the confusion arose.
