    Hi

My late father, William Godley, joined the Royal Artillery T.A. in Edinburgh (292nd Battery, 94th Anti-Aircraft Regiment) in 1938. He was called up on 1 August 1939. He later served with 227th Light Anti-Aircraft Battery, which I understand was a demonstration unit (and where, incidententally, he met my late mother who was a Range Finder in the ATS).

In 1943 he received an Emergency War Commission and after training at 133 OCT, Shrivenham, was posted to 6 Indian H.A.A. and served at Chittagong. He ended up as a Temporary Captain, returning home to the UK in 1946.

I have obtained his war record from the MOD and have found much information for my family tree. However, information on the 6 Indian H.A.A. is scant both within his record and on the web in general.

I wonder if any of your members have any information concerning any of the above units but in particular 6 H.A.A. and which they would be willing to share? I would be very grateful to receive anything at all.
