    Hello everyone,

Please could someone with access either to the relative war diary or to Alastair Borthwick's book plase tell me where the 5th Battalion Seaforth Highlanders were in January 1944?

    Thanks,

51st Div history by Salmond mentions on pages 135- 136 the following locations for the Division.
Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire , Amersham , Berkhampstead & Great Missenden.
Monty inspected the Division 15th Feb 44 at Berkhampstead.

    Thanks Owen.

I just needed the proof that they had left Italy.

    They sure had left.
    Quote from page 135.

..the Highland Division...were brought home to the kindly shores of the Clyde. It was pleasant to make Scotland on a 1943 November morning...
