Hi, If I wanted more parts of my Dad's War Diary, what is the best way to get it?.............do you have details for Lee or Andy?

 

My uncle was also in the 5th battalion, but due to wounding would never have crossed paths with your father, he was shot just after d-day and returned in October 1944. He was in A company which was largely wiped out in an ambush during the same day

 

Drew, do you still have this document? If so, can I ask you to post a few photos of the events around the 18th and 19th August 1944. The 5th Battalion was crossing the River Vie, heading for Lisieux. Their HQ was shelled or mortarted and several men were killed including the one I am looking for, Major Kenneth Aitken of the Royal Artillery. Thank you!
