Hi Hugh thanks for the PM. These are the diaries I found, quite reassuring to know the National Archives could only find one of them, I must be getting good at this :D

WO 172/1173 90 Tk Tptr Coy 1942 Dec.

WO 172/3073 Companies: 590 Tank Transport Company 1943 Jan.- Nov.

WO 172/5519 Companies: 590 Company 1944 Jan.- Apr., Sept.- Dec.

    WO 172/8497 Companies: 590 Company 1945 Jan.-Dec.

    WO 172/10708 590 Coy 1946 Jan.- Sept.

All files are from the Burma Campaign and all are RASC. Don't be put off by the names, the National Archives isn't very good at naming files and leave key bits of info out like Tank Transport in the cases above.

    Cheers
    Andy

I have about 100 scanned photos of my late friend Bill Kynaston's time in India (pre Burma) showing men, trucks, etc and thought you might like copies. I have donated the originals to the Kohima Museum in York along with a shoulder patch.
