    According to the Suffolk Regiment 4th Battalion roll kept by the "Bureau of Record and Enquiry" at Changi, Singapore, Private Ernest Fyson came from Littleport, Cambridgeshire, and was captured at Singapore. He was in Changi, then on a working party on Singapore Island, than back in Changi, before being sent with "F" Party on 27th April 1943 to Thailand. The roll records that he " Died of diarrhoea on 27/8/43 at Sonkrai, Thailand. Grave No. -------"
