    Hi,

My Great Grandfather's nephew was sadly killed in Greece and his name appears on the Athens Memorial. The only information I have is what is recorded below:

    Name:Harry Hadley
    Sapper
    Royal Engineers
    580 Army Troops Coy
    Date of Death: 24/04/1941

Does anyone have any idea what was the role of the 580 Army Troops Coy and also any idea where the Coy was at the time of Harry's death.

Any advice or help would be fantastic.

    Kind regards
    Adrian

Here's the units war diary. If you look at the dates listed April is missing, probably destroyed or captured during the fighting:

Hi My Uncle, William Calvert was also with the same Regiment and I too would like to know what they were doing in Greece, as he died on 29/04/1942.
    Regards Robert.
