Hi, Can't help re WD but attached link gives a reasonably detailed synopsis of the Battalions movements in June 1942 after their rushed despatch to North Africa from Paiforce. They appear to have been at Sollum on the Libya/ Egypt border in early June before retreating to Mersa Matruh about 16th June.
