5569976 Private G.H.C Nash 1st Bn King's Own Regiment (Lancaster)

The Army Casualty List records Private G.H.C Nash as killed accidentally on 10/06/1942, I was wondering if anyone has a copy of the war diary for the 1st Bn King's Own and could check to see if there is any mention of an accident.

Hi,

Can't help re WD but attached link gives a reasonably detailed synopsis of the Battalions movements in June 1942 after their rushed despatch to North Africa from Paiforce. They appear to have been at Sollum on the Libya/ Egypt border in early June before retreating to Mersa Matruh about 16th June.
