This is a nice bit of recognition for the 55 servicemen who paid the supreme sacrifice from the Powell River area of British Columbia. In many respects, it is typical of every town or city in Canada. Without exception, there is a cenotaph listing the local casualties from WW1 and 2. What is exceptional is having all the names and faces of the men from this area who never came home and details on the wide variety of roles they played. http://pruhoww2.weebly.com/ Well done!
Not sure what the population of Powell River was in those days, but that is a high number for such a small community.
