ANYTHING at all to do with these units would be appreciated Thanks in advance John My father wastransferred from Glasgow Highlanders in 1939 to become a workshop fitter with 528coy RASC which was formed from 'odds & sods' in 1939/40 at Peebles. When equiped they were moved to Bradford then sent out with 2ndBEF 52nd Lowland Div they landed at Cherbourg and moved to the outskirts of Paris, during the retreat they appear to have wandered the country eventually returning to Cherbourg from where he was evacuated. I am currently going through bits and pieces he had written down about his experiences will add more if relevent to 528coy Hope this is of use Wallace

Weejock Sorry I missed your second post. The site looks good to me and enjoyed the music. Can't see I can add anything else as I find it difficult to unearth info. on RLC/RCT units. I suppose the best bet is to try IWM as they seem to hold most of the documents. Try:http://www.arrse.co.uk/ The alternative British Army site populated by some clever b*****ds, just in case you didn't know of it. Best of luck with the site. Roger(aka OURBILL)
