I've read some stuff about 51st Division making a diversionary attack from the west of Bremen (on the south bank) in order to draw the Germans' attention there. I think it may have been on the same night that 3rd Division made a crossing with Buffalos across some flooded ground. (That was the 24th-25th of April.) But Salmond doesn't mention it and I am light on details about who or exactly when. Does anyone know more?

I checked the 5th Black Watch war diary but they weren't involved. They did move to Delmenhorst which is the location from which a diversionary attack might have been launched, and their war diary says "After taking up positions 1 Gordons and 5/7 Gordons passed through" but that's it.

The following extract is from the war diary of 20th Anti-Tank Regiment in 3rd Div.

PS I believe the 3rd Div amphibious attack was launched from in/near Brinkum. There was a more conventional thrust towards Dreye as well. Screen Shot 2022-11-30 at 12.40.36 PM.jpg
