I have finshed half of it so far & I'm getting ready to put down the base & trees but for now I will post some pics of my vehicles & men. M3 Halftrack. All vehicles are Forces of Valor. M4 Shermans Tiger 1 SdKfz251 with Rocket launcher Doc Roe & wounded "Smokey" Gordan. Soldiers are from Revell. Thanks for viewing. Any comments or suggestions are welcomed.
Nice work my man. You weathering is nice, not overdone. What kits are they, is the PzVI is lovely Dragon Kit? Igf its is you did very well with the awkward running gear. Looks neat. I like your figures. Little advice, hope you dont mind. When modelling in 1:72 or 76 a lot of small parts are far to thick, especially on cheaper kits. There is a few things you can do. 1. Leave em off, a lot of ancillarys just went missing or just wasnt fiited, so dont worry about leaving that blackout light off, useless any. I really hate making them as per the box , look at the real pictures, never like the box. 2.Try scaping them down with a sharp knife, so they are thinner, Works well on mudguards, and flat plate, if you just thin down the end its gives the impression the whole plate is thinner. 3.Nick them off another better made kit. Dont throw anything away. 4. Make it yourself out of 5amp fusewire or leftover etch plate.
1:72 scale makes a lot of sense. Unless you have a spare aircraft hangar somewhere, dioramas in larger scales are a bit impractical. Good luck mate and I look forward to seeing the finished model
Thanks guys on the replys.Kfz I will see if my Dad can help me with the suggestions I'm only 15 years old.I see what you meen now by thining the mudguards & flat plates. All the tanks & halftracks are Forces of valor fixed up.I weathered the vehicles with brown wash.

Josh, You are doing very well up to now and there are a million and one tips out there for finishing off models. The more that you model the more that your skills grow. Do not be afraid to experiment, sometimes a seeming disaster turns out to be a great feature! Looking forward to seeing more, thanks for sharing. Regards Tom
I have been making trees now for a week.I wanted them to look like the ones in the Ardennes forest I couldn't fined some that looked like that so I'm making them out of green scour pads & skewers sticks. I painted the skewers with light cinnamon from Americana with some black wash.I tore the scour pads to make them thiner & cut them to fit. tough work & the finshed trees. It needs snow. Here some that didn't make it Thanks for replys.
