Rear gunner on Lancaster ED429, one of three 50 Squadron Lancasters lost on ops to Bochum. Chorley's says it was hit by flak and blew up over the Ruhr.
Sole survivor, Sgt G L Stewart, was repatriated by the Germans in September 1944.

    Regards,

    Dave

    Thanks Dave.

I tried to reply earlier, but it seem that it didn't get through.

Can you find any details on the other crew members and was 50 squadron based out of MARHAM at the time of this raid?

    Yes.

They were there from 26/11/1941 until they moved to Swinderby on 20/6/42

Then back to Skellingthorpe again on 17/10/1942 until their move to Sturgate 15/06/1945.

    Cheers

    Geoff
