Do you have the army forms B103 I mentioned above? These give much more detail. See my father's records

I do have some more records, I'll see if I can get them posted here.......I tried earlier but the attachments kept failing

No it's too small but we really need the other forms

 

Managed to juggle with my computer and eventually got an enlarged version of Ganga's father's synopsis of military service

Details are as per her posting dated 19th June

My only additional comment is that this indicates he transferred from 5 Recce Regiment to the 13th/18th on the 18th October 1945 in BAOR. This would suggest that the photograph was taken in the NAAFI Canteen in Vienenburg sometime in late Autumn 1945/Spring 1946

thanks all for the comments/info everyone....looking at the journals posted by Steve.... I can see my dads name in nominal roll for autumn 1946 section.... (I assume he was the only A Adams)...
and from that I now know he was in B Company
