My neighbour is a veteran with 5 DCLI and I was wondering if anyone had a copy of the unit War Diary from 31 October 1944 onwards when he joined them. Keith

Why is this in the DLI subforum? DCLI is Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry not Durham Light Infantry .

Hi there, I was wounded on 20th Oct 1944. at Groesbeck, near Nimegan. some 10 days before the gentleman joined them. Was in Palestine for 2 years with the 1st DCLI 1945 to 1947. Hi Ken I havent been able to speak to Norman since I sent you the PM. I barely get to see him even though he is just next door. He's never in and one of the most active people round here!
