Hi All, Yep saw Wally 2 weeks ago he was in a bad car crash... He's ok now up and about and looking forward to Arnhem again this year....I even gave him the 4th Dorset war dairy which he had not seen before... Cheers Tom

yep thats was also helpful John, and glad it was as some info is very useful for the book, in september I have to check on some other units )in these files )involved in this operation to see if anymore information is available.

Philip I agree I sent copies of this file to Geert Maassen and Geert Jonker back in September 2010. Geert Jonker did a lot of further investigation and came up with a lot of new information that has been included in the revised RoH. John
In the Pegasus Journal 1972-1 there is a short list of veterans who attended the memorial service at the cemetery in Oosterbeek in 1971. It mentions a J.E. Pearce but it says ''1 Dorset''. Maybe this is a mistake as all the others on the list are in units wich were at Arnhem? Ron...
