From the Concentration Report on CWGC the original burial place for Norman Reginald Marshall was map 109 reference 946736:

    See here:

As a point of interest, according to the casualty lists he was previously wounded in North Africa on 22.4.43.

Richard, best bet is to see if you can track down the war diaries or other histories of the regiment, a forum search is also worthwhile, member ClankyPencil has uploaded an album with diaries for September 43, may be others of interest.

    WO 169/10252 - War Diary - 6th Lincolnshire Rgt - September 1943 | WW2Talk

If you are interested in his full military service then you should send off for his official records, only available here:
Get a copy of military service records: Apply for the records of someone who's deceased - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

Long wait at present I am afraid, but worth it for the complete story.

    Richard.

On 1 Sep 44, 6 LINCS had yet to reach the Conca and were yet to be committed to the fight at Gemmano.

    Regards

    Frank
