My father Captain Bernal Harman was casualty of an accident in which tanks were being transported by rail to the front but came off the flat trucks and as a result he was badly injured. Does anyone have any details of this?
He was transported to hospital in Cairo on 13/09/1942.
    Any information very much appreciated.

Those accidents were seldom reported except in the War Diaries of the unit as we had a similar one where the transporter hit a pot hole - dislodged the tank

which toppled off killing two crew members sun bathing on top

    Cheers
