The Somerset Light Infantry 30th August 1928; Lt. 30th August 1931; A.D.C. to the Governor of Bengal 1st November 1933 - 15th September 1936; Captain 1st April 1938; Retired receiving a gratuity, 1st February 1939; Recalled to Service; Captain; temporary Major; attached 9th Bn. Durham Light Infantry.
    Ceased to belong to the Reserve of Officers on account of disability 8th December 1944

    Great post thank you , many mentions in the book Gateshead Gurkhas . Commanding B Coy at El Alamein , still OC B Coy at Mareth where he was wounded .Moved on the 9th June 1943 to become 2 IC 6 DLI , served in Sicily with that Bn .

    According to ‘The Faithful Sixth’ (Moses), Major EWH Worrall, known as ‘Teddy’, was wounded at Primosole Bridge on 17 July 1943.
