Hi Clive, Had a dig around some old newspaper relating to the above incident. The Birmingham Post dated Wednesday 11th November 1942 had a interesting snippet, (see below) concerning an artillery exchange carried out just before midnight. ( note, it could be a different Bty from 218.) there wasn't any casualties reported to confirm it. Graham.
