My friends father was killed in action, by a German sniper on the 11th June 1944. He has very little information on his actions from D-Day until the 11th June. If anyone has information or can point us in the right direction that would be great. L/Cpl Lawrence Reginald Perry (KIA 11/06/44) 3 Parachute Sqn, RE - beleived to be in one of the first gliders to land on D-Day. He was killed in action on the 11th June. I would like to hear from anyone who remembers him or knows anything about him. c/o
Hi Matt, I dont know how much info your friend has but he can order a picture of his Fathers Heastone here, The War Graves Photographic Project and there is a book on 3rd Parachute Sqn by Major Shave R.E, and although I can find the name Perry mentioned it may be of intrest, all the best Jason.
great thanks - we have seen that picture from the Ranville cemetry. We have found a bit more information from the airborne museum as well
