    Sorry for the six years "late" comment - but just to confirm that Bala Bredin was CO of two battalions in Italy, commanding 6 Innisks in early 1944 until he was wounded at Piumarola on 17th May 1944 and then took over 2 LIR from August 1944 to May 1945 taking the battalion into Austria. Separately, he was 2.i.c of 1 RIrF during the Termoli period of October 1943 and subsequently 2.i.c. of 2 LIR in late 1943 into 1944 before he took over the Skins.

    Thanks Clive, some of that is what I've transcribed.

    Still looking for the copies of the photo's he took at Dunkirk if anyone can help.
