    Thank you for your comments but it’s not just me. We are a team who formed the WW2 Imphal Campaign Foundation of likeminded Brits and Manipuris a few years ago now to explore and record the battlefields of Manipur. Lots of information and artefacts are on display in our Imphal War Museum.

    These are some of our group of the Lion Cubs of Kanglatongbi taken on the southern foothills of the Kanglatongbi Ridge last year for the 75th anniversary commemorations. Behind us is the Picquet Hill feature of the western end of the Ridge with Point 3813 to the east. Johnny West was originally buried the other side of the tree cladded knoll.
    Our interests at this time were focused on the valley below where Lion Box was situated.

    I am so grateful to you for supplying this valuable information to me and my family and for taking the time to photograph the final resting place of my great Uncle Johnny. I hope one day to meet you personally to convey my gratitude. Any further information would be most welcome.
