I am tracing GEORGE SMITH MACDONALD (1915-1994) who was a Private [No. 2819652] in the 2nd Btn of the Seaforth Higlanders - 51st Highland Division.
He was at St Valerie (Valery) in June 1940 - wounded at Enfidaville, Tunisia in 1943 and in the follow up of the D-Day Landings at Sword Beach.
Would be interested if anyone knows of George or the places mentioned at those times.
    thanks
    Bob

If he was at St Valery 1940, he was one of very few to get home. Was he wounded and evacuated? What was the date of his wound in Tunisia? and do you mean he was wounded again in Normandy? and that was the end of his war?

If you write to the The Highlanders' Museum - Fort George they may be able to help you out. They were great when I asked about someone from the WW1..
