I've just come across a reference to this lad as being probably the last Irishman to die in WW2 and I see that he is buried fairly near to me. I wonder can anyone help me discover more about him - I have a mind to arrange our local RBL visit the grave here in Limerick.

His loss doesn't seem to be aircraft related, on that day there were 8 'incidents' involving RAF aircraft, no fatalities. Had a look on 'Flight Archive' also, doesn't seem to be listed on there.

Hi Peter & thanks for the info.
As Tim was buried in his own village of Kilfinane here in Ireland I suspect he was injured in at some earlier time and shipped home for convalsence or, more likely, for burial from a UK base.

This is the only CWGS headstone in the village

Hi Drumaneen. Timothy (Tadgh) O'Sullivan was my first cousin. Is there any way of finding out more about him? Dan
