    Thanks Diane.

    I believe all Brigade of Guards Reservists who were serving Police Officers avoided the general mobilisation of men on the reserve in late August 1939 but were recalled 1st December 1939. Some men from city forces were released back to Police duty after heavy German bombing attacks started in 1940.
