    265 Forward Delivery Squadron

    I've created this thread in order to try to link to some info I have found (thus far) on the 265 Forward Delivery Squadron.

    (more to add in post edit etc)

    Any further info anyone has (or is aware of etc.) on the 265 FDS would be much appreciated,

    A few mentions of the 265 FDS in the SRY WD:

    9th January 1944 - The main party of 265 Fwd Dlvry Sqn arrived – they will stay with us for an indefinite period.

    12th February 1944 - Lt. George Harding left the Regiment to join 265 FWD DLVRY GRP.

    2nd April 1944 - One officer (Lt A Stockton) and 24 O/Rs are today attached to 265 Fd. Dely. Sqn R.A.C. for all purposes.

    5th May 1944 - A party was sent as 1st Line reinforcements to 265 Fwd. Del. Sqn.

    7th May 1944 - Lt. F. Bridges left us to join 1st Line Reinforcements at 265 Fwd Dly Sqn

    15th May 1944 - Lt. R Grellis left to go to 265 Fwd. Del. Sqn.

    NOMINAL ROLL OF SRY OFFICERS ON STRENGTH

    Lieut W Sidney listed as "att 265 Fwd Del Sqn"
