There was a "Remembering Today" entry on this website for a sapper from this unit. His name was Norman Richard Manicom and his grave is in Poland, where he presumably died in a prison camp on June 18. This unit was in France of May 1940. I would be interested to know what happened to them, as I guess he was captured. I don't see a reference to them on this site, hopefully Andy has a war diary?

    Thanks for any info.

I have just been reading the diary - many of the sentiments expressed (lack of training, weapons, air support, general chaos of the civilian population etc) were the same as those I heard my father articulate (he was a sapper in 263 Field Coy). Thank you for posting the diary, much appreciated.
