I am trying to find information on my Great Grandad Regimental Sergeant Major Lawrence Huggins. 2612745
I do not know much about his life in the Army, but i believe that he served in the Guards Amoured Division and played a role in the effort to take Nijmegen Bridge during Operation Market Garden.
If anyone does have any information about him, or even if you know where i might find some it would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi
I have just picked up your message, a bit late I know for which I apologise, there is at the moment a Ray Huggins who was RSM in the Grenadier Guards and also RSM at Sandhurst, but he did not join the Regiment until 1945 after the War ended, would he be a relative of the Huggins that you are enquiring about?
Ray is now living in the Chelsea Pensioners Hospital and is a good friend of mine, you can contact him by phoning the hospital number is 0207 881.5270 it is an automated service so just follow the voice instructions, Ray may be able to point you in the direction you want
    Good luck
