    Hello,

Could anyone shed any light on the unit my father served with during WW2, it was called 25 Base Signals Section, Royal Signals.

He embarked for NWE on 2nd June 1944 and landed at Gold Beach 6th June 1944, returned to the UK on 14 December 1945 serving with the unit throughout. His Army record shows he went through France, Belgium, Holland and finally Germany.

Any information would be appreciated, as the Royal Signals Museum and The National Archives at Kew couldn't shed any light on the unit.

I've attached a copy of part of his Army record showing his embarkation date, as I was surprised that he left the UK for France on the 2nd June 1944.

    Many thanks,
