If anyone is interested, the 22nd New Zealand Battalion's complete war diaries are posted online covering January 1940 to June 1947. It is relatively rare to come across New Zealand War diaries so this is an excellent find.

I did have some problem accessing them after I found them. The site went down for a while. If this happens, just keep trying.

David, thanks for posting the link. I've got very little on the 2 New Zealand Division in the way of books (they are rather expensive).
A large thanks to the guy who has taken the photos as well.Top chap if you ask me. Looks like I'll be busy for a while. Brilliant find, & in colour to boot.
Edit, this may be a silly question, but did you download them page by page?
    Regards
    Stu.

    Thanks David.

Sadly it seems down at the moment, or at least that the link is not live. I shall keep trying.

    Thanks again for posting.

David, its also fine for me as-well. Not sure what to suggest (I'm far from a wizard) when it comes to these problems. I do hope some advice comes your way soon. I'm half way through saving the images of 44.

No. I have not started downloading these yet. The site author has offered to make PDFs available if you contact him. To quote "On this website is the full set of war diaries, page by page, month by month. You can read it all by following the links, clicking on any page to see a larger image if you cannot read the small version. I have collated each month into a PDF file but these are large files, so email me if you would like a copy to read it offline or print it out. I have enhanced the images to bring out the writing, but if you would prefer an original photograph please email me."

David, sorry if I've put your nose out of joint? ( And that goes to the author as well). I have managed to down load the pages that I require. I did it page by page, and it was no real problem. In my useless opinion, it would be better left in JPEG. Each to there there own.

A epic piece of work by the author, & yourself. I've only seen it in parts.
    Regards.

    DavidW,

I would suggest trying other browsers such as Safari, Firefox, etc. One of those may work. Are you trying to access it on your computer or a phone/tablet? If one is not working, computer for example, try the site on your phone/tablet or vice versa.
