    Hi

    Researching

Flying Officer 50595 James William Ison DAY
    224 Squadron, Royal Air Force
    MiA Thursday 29 July 1943

I believe his crew members were most probably

Flying Officer 141740 Ronald George Ballatine
Flight Sergeant 1024736 George Arthur Briggs
Flight Sergeant 652231 Cyril Thomas William Downing
Pilot Officer 146997 William Farinton Drew
    Sergeant 1377834 Herbert Edward Richardson
Pilot Officer 149613 William Eric Smith
    Sergeant 1186871 Ronald Sumner
    Sergeant 1023141 William Warrington

As always, this period of Coastal Command research is difficult (for me, anyway ).

Can anyone tell me what happened, aircraft etc,

    Cheers and many thanks,

    Graeme

    Graeme,

This link has a member of the Squadron mentioned. Date is exact match, but surname is spelt as Ballentine. I believe it is the same Person.

I am sure that members will look at their reference books and get back to you.

    I will continue Internet searches.

    Morning Tom

    many thanks for the link.

I have searched the web but do not think, without any serial number, that it will be successful,

    Thanks again,

    Graeme
