21st century Dambusters (for all discussion on the remake)

Kitty, I had a similar thought of Serkis playing Mick Martin but then thought maybe not. Would be good to have some Australian actors in it. Hugh Jackman, Eric Bana, maybe Heath Ledger, Guy Pearce?

Cary Elwes? Most of these blokes are too old to play 20-something actors but it's been done before. Fresh-faced Orlando Bloom is a possibility and a Jackson favourite?

Perhaps Serkis could do the movements for the bouncing bomb and then they can use those movements as the basis for the CGI?!

The journalist is making a statement of the mentioning of Australians and the New Zealander and is not having a bitch as the comment at the end of the story implies.

Still, it will be interesting to see how it turns out!

if it aint broke why fix it, nowt wrong with the original, unless of course the remake is to be more historically accurate

 

I really want to see what WETA make fo th eraid itself. That will be amazing. And as there has to be a remake at least Jackson will do the honourable thing with it and not piss it around like Hollywood would do.

according to my mothers mags,russel crowe has already accepted the role of wing commander gibson.

 

I hope they don't go and spoil it by attempting to make it all PC like those disasterous attempts on TV where Gibson would say "Come here.....*insert female, clam, SAT-NAV voice here* digger"

 

Has anyone heard that a remake of this film is planned. Possible use of Scampton for part of the filming.

There is also a problem with the mention of Guy Gibson's dog's name. How surprising.

 

Not sure what happened to it, it was supposed to be released in 2008 and produced by Peter Jackson.

I heard Gibson's dog was going to be called "Trigger".

 

Never heard of it. But I'd love to see it.

Come on film maker people, get your fingers out and make something quality for us to watch!!!!!

Cant see it myself. ~if you look at IMDB no menton. Jacksons next projects are all listed and I reckon is calendar is full.

 

I believe that the screen play has been written by Stephen Fry.
