Searching for additional information about Sapper J. Cook captured during Operation Market Garden 25.9.1944, held in Stalag XIIA.

According to his POW Liberation report he was unwounded when captured on the 26th September and spent most of his captivity in a working camp attached to Stalag IVC at Brux. It seems that there are POW cards for him at the National Archives but the catalogue entry for them does not show his correct Service Number or date of birth

I only had a quick glance but I think it was some small fragments in the face, so possibly OK after a cleaning and not requiring further treatment, wound may have been the wrong choice of word

    Many thanks for the replies,
In the WO416 series, the P.o.w. No. is correct and the service number is missing two digits, how different are the D.O.B.?

On his POW Liberation report he says April 14th 1921 while the card says May 14th. I never rely on the catalogue entry for these records as errors in transcription or incorrect information on the cards is commonplace
