The War Diary of the 1/6th Battalion Queen’s Royal Regiment (West Surreys), in the Battalion Orders Part 1, for 2 October 1940 shows a “Strength Increase” from the I.T.C. Queen’s Royal Regiment, Guildford. It is an extensive list, containing my great uncle, and out of interest I have decided to copy the entry here and attempt to provide information on what happened to those personnel, gleaned from the diary images for the period to end 1943 and other sources.
