    Hi, I’m Steph,
I’m new here and I’ve never posted anything like this before.
I’m wondering if anyone has any photos or anything at all of the 1st Battalion South Lancashire Regiment.
My great grandad Pte.Vincent Ernest Tennant served, we know he landed on sword beach, got to La Londe and was killed either on or just before Pegasus Bridge on 28th June 1944.
My grandad and I have been looking for more information and photos but have found non. Any information is greatly appreciated.
    Thank you.

There is another thread on the battalion's time in Normandy on: 1st Battalion, South Lancashire Regiment

The CWGC entry for great grandad is on: https://www.cwgc.org/find-records/find-war-dead/casualty-details/2628631/vincent-ernest-tennant/ His Army Number was: 3389017.

PM sent with tips to her just. Notably applying now for his service records.

On a search of this forum he has not appeared before or his service number.

There are a host of threads here on his battalion. There are two id'd by using: "1st South Lancashire regiment" + "ww2talk.com" (a third applies to August 1944 and so not read). and two using: "1 South Lancashire regiment" + "ww2talk.com".

When I used tags it returned seventeen threads: 1 south lancashire regiment (prince of wales's volunteers) | WW2Talk
