1ST BATTALION KING'S ROYAL RIFLE CORPS - WAR DIARY

Discussion in 'North Africa & the Med' started by Roger Bickmore, Jul 24, 2024.

  1. I am taking a look at Rifleman Patrick Callan No. 6852883 who was reported missing in Cyrenaica, incident date 1 May 1941, casualty list 502 (archive WO 417/24). Please does anyone have access to the KRRC war diary so that I can see where and what they were up to at or around that date, possibly revealing the circumstances of his capture. Thanks so much, Roger

    Roger,

My apologies. It is rare to have two members working on the same time and unit - so I was confussed.

    Roger,

Did you get a copy of the 1KRRC War Diary? I am interested in the unit from 1939 to March 1941.

    Thank you

    Dave

I have the 1941 diary in my archives. I'm currently donating my 10p per page fee to a military charity for any diaries in my archives

I am missing that unit. I am interested in the Jan-Feb 41 pages. Does the 1940 diary exist? You have my email, send the details for the purchase.

    Pista! Jeff
