In France, Belgium, Holland and Luxembourg Anyone know of any? Please post any pic's, locations and links. Cheers Andy
Cheers Dave, Anything and everything. Even French and Belgium Armies as well as the BEF like you posted. Do you have an address for the Bastogne one. I've seen a few of the more obvious ones but there must be a lot more. Andy
Do you have an address for the Bastogne one. Rue de Clervaux (just as the turn is made towards the Mardasson memorial)
I take it that you won't be wanting the 'usual' memorials (Dunkirk, Wormhoudt,Calais KRRC etc)? I've got a good selection from elsewhere on the ext.HD on my other PC which I'll go through later (areas around Gent, more Ardennes (French & Belgian), Holland,French Flanders, Alsace etc) Dave
From my Ardennes thread. Near the Hotel de Ville in Vielsalm is this memorial to the Chasseurs Ardennais . They did their best to stop the Germans in 1940.
Dave all and any-I'll post some of the ones I've got. ps I've not done Calais. pps Don't forget the address's.
Opposite No. 16-18 Zeelaan in De Panne. In the Town Hall is a collection of memorials remembering Lord Gort's final HQ which was No. 16-18 Zeelaan.
Paul posted this one at Dadizeele. http://www.ww2talk.com/forum/1940/10603-ww2-memorial-near-ypres.html http://www.ww2talk.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=5207&d=1176762737
Wormhout Memorial on the D17 Rue de Wormhout the Memorial Barn off of Rue des Dunkirk Veterans and plaque on Esquelbecq Church.
Paradis Massacre Memorial at Le Paradis Church and two memorials near Chemin du Paradis and Rue du Gros Verret.
Found another on this particular HD... Hurtebise Farm, Chemin des Dames (another one of those little pockets of history that seem to get fought over time and time again over the centuries - in this case 1814, 1914-18 and 1940)
