When are they rolling out the '39 archive? Findmypast have been dangling this carrot way too long. Why didn't the just put it on line when it was ready to search like all their other Friday releases.

I totally agree, esp. from having been suckered by their initial vapourware hype - and even this latest blog entry still only lamely saying "Later this year" - but TNA show no signs of rapping D C Thomson over the knuckles for thus jerking our chain ! Sadly, their propaganda machine seems to expect current non-subscribers to be so keyed up to get at it, by the time they do release it, that they'll be willing to sign on the dotted line just to do so - well not me for one, TBH, since my local library service terminated their FMP/BNA contract. I'm now just marking time, as penance for jumping the gun, by echoing their blog posts here for the benefit of anyone interested but not monitoring the same RSS feed I use to catch them.

PS: Just an afterthought but maybe someone has the idea of hitting the 29 Sep 76th anniversary ? And another, FWIW, is that it wouldn't at all surprise me if there's not also some internal strife (red-faced embarrassment &c) at FMP over how long this is unexpectedly taking - remember these upstarts have far less experience at this game than TNA and the advertising staff these kind of companies attract tend to have very big mouths backed up by very little brain.

PPS: Sorry for not replying earlier but this new forum software's "Follow this topic" feature has never worked for me though it ought and I've never been able to figure out why not. I submitted a complaint about it but never had any answer - black hole job. Having got used to no chit chat here for a long time, now, I only tend to look in whenever I get a blog entry to add. That said, PM alerts do contrarily reach me - so that's the way to grab my attention for anything urgent ...
