I'd be interested in hearing from anyone with knowledge of activities of 16 Squadron RAF from 1942-1944 while they were based at Weston Zoyland, Andover, Middle Wallop, Harfortbridge, and Northolt, and undertaking reconnaissance duties, flying Mustangs and Spitfires. In particular, any information on Arthur Richard Kemp, who flew with the Squadron during this period, would be gratefully received.
If you haven't already done so, can I suggest downloading the ORBs - details on how to do so should be found here: http://ww2talk.com/forums/topic/37124-raf-squadron-orbs-digitised-by-tna/?hl=orbs Note that this might be expensive depending on how they are filed (some squadrons have two files per month). Hopefully somewhere on that thread there should be a link to one of the guys on this forum that offer a copying service from Kew. I think they offer a charge per page, it may or may not work out cheaper.
Thank you Dave for the suggestion. I'm an irregular visitor to National Archives, living some distance away, but should be able to source information thereon my next visit. My post was a bit of a wild card to see if there was anyone out there with knowledge to put some flesh on the bones: one can always hope! Thanks again.
