I've had two queries recently about this Regt from people who are confused about which formation they were with during their relatively short time in existance during WW2, (reformed after the war). So to put the records straight. Some Arty-Sites give 8AGRA others 9AGRA in England & Normandy -on. Formed in Jan 1943 they were placed under the command of the 2nd Canadian AGRA and stayed with this AGRA throughout training and the NWE Campaign, except for a few days in Oct 44 when they went under the command of 9AGRA for Op 'Switchback', they were disbanded in Dec 44 & sent back to Infantry. So they were always a 2Cdn AGRA Regt. This information is obtained from the Regt's War-Diary & 2Cdn AGRA Diary, both of which i have for my new book project on the 2Cdn AGRA. Best Rob
