    In September 1944 I have Major John Thomas as the OC, Lieutenant A.G.C. "Tony" Jones as the leader of 1 Troop and Lieutenant W.C. Cantlay as the leader of 2 Troop. Who was the leader of 3 Troop?

    John,

    Sorry, I can't help with a name but just so you know. :)

    The War Establishment was for 1 Major, 1 Captain and 5 Lieutenants. All were reported present on 23 Sep 44 according to the war diary.

    I know I'm a bit late but I believe that the Leader of 3 Troop was Lt Anthony Vivian (later Major), he was my late Uncles troop leader.

    Hi Steve,

    Yes, you are correct. Lt. Vivian was the OC of 3rd Troop. I found this out soon after the original post and I forgot to post it here.

    What was your uncle's name?
