Next April I will visit the Reichswald area with another WW2Talk member whose father fought inside the forest with 'B' Squadron of the 147th Regt RAC.

Does anyone know if there exists a History of this Armoured Regiment. I would be interested in the chapter re February 1945.

I also am looking for the War Diary and/or Regimental History of the 7th Royal Welch Fusiliers for Feb 45. 'B' Squadron had a stiff fight inside the forest, while supporting the Royal Welch Fusiliers, near what nowadays is the British War Cemetery

... and yes, if time permits I will post a little something on the forum re the visit.

Thanks TD - I've already got the WD 147 RAC (and 34th Arm Bde) - with courtesy to Horsapassenger. However time is too short to get the one of the 7th RWF.

Beside, I am interested in the Regimental Histories of both units, if available.

Ah - misunderstood - when you said next April I was assuming April 2019, and not this April - apologises
