I have received this request can anyone help out at all, we have no information to give them. Regards Dave (Ganger04) I write to ask for your assistance with details of the cause of the death of Cpl 14323375 Clarence William Veater on the 22nd Feb 1945. Cpl Veater was a Police Constable in Cheshire before the war and our group the Police Remembrance Trust would likely to say a few words of remembrance on the anniversary of his death. All we have been able to establish so far was that it was an 'accident' which occurred whilst he was serving in the UK. Casualty Details | CWGC

Newspapers just report 'killed in an accident', as suggested death certificate should help or perhaps there was an inquest/coroner's report. Hoole War Memorial (windows.net)
If you go down the road of obtaining his death cert could you let us know what it says or post a copy - it rounds off the thread for us Thanks TD
