Why not use the war diary search engine, you will find it by going to the PORTAL option and scrolling down till you come to partner links and you can just select it

I have the quarterly reports for 130 Field Ambulance from June 1944 onwards. I will post them later this evening for you. If you use the search facility you will find the diaries for 129 Field Ambulance on the forum. They served alongside 130 FA in 43 Div. There are a few mentions of 130 within the diaries.

These are really good Field Ambulance War Diaries - I recently got those of the 51st Highland Division for January 1945, but they weren't that informative on battle casualties and sick, as I had hoped for.

You need to see if the Field Ambulances of 51 Div you were researching produced the Quarterly Reports as shown above. The diaries just tend to lean towards Unit movements only. I'm not totally certain but I think the reports are contained within a separate WO file than the War Diaries?

JB, Many, many thanks for posting those, do you also have the June/July/August quaterly report. I would be very interested in seeing entries for Hill 112 and Cauville.

These reports and returns of Field Ambulances are in the WO 222 series.

They are at the National Archive under WO/222...

I have all the available reports and diaries for 129 FA and the Quarterly Reports for both 130 FA (shown here) and 213 Field Ambulance of 43 Div. If you like I can post the reports for 213 Field Ambulance on another thread?

Guy - Sorry, all I have on 130 Field Ambulance is shown on your thread here. For more info on 43 Div at Hill 112 I recommend you get a copy of Patrick Delaforce's The Fighting Wessex Wyvern's

Johnathan, Do the quarterly reports have a seperate reference to the war diaries?
I will try and obtain the earlier enteries for 130 FA.
    Many thanks for the help.
