Does anyone know what has happened to the 12 O'clock High WW2 aviation forum? It appears to have been offline for a week now? Thanks.

I'm a TOCH moderator and according to the forum's founder and administrator, there has been a serious corruption of the site database. He cannot make any predictions about when or if he can fix it.

My own experience was there was no problem around 0800 British Summer Time on Wednesday 22 September but by about 1030 all I got was error messages, varying according to which browser I tried.

Sorry not to have more positive news at the moment but please pass this information on to anyone who asks.

Thanks Nick. When you say 'a serious corruption of the site database' does that mean it has been hacked/deliberately attacked?

Cripes, that sounds seriously scarey. I do hope TOCH fixes its database. Could our esteemed site be similarly vulnerable?

I haven’t the faintest what it means, I don’t handle the technical side. I’m just reporting what the site owner/administrator told me. More news as and when I hear anything..
