    Hi there

Does anyone out there have any photographs of the members of 115 sqdn or know where we may be able to get them? My husband`s Great Uncle - Sgt David Tawelfryn Male was in this sqdn (details below) and we have no photographs of him at all. We are trying to put together as much information on him as possible as he has no children to perpetuate his memory or recognise the sacrifice he made for society. We have no idea what he looked like and would dearly love be able to add a photograph to the collection of information we have collated so far.

His number was 1204858, he was in the RAFVR, 115sqdn. He was originally from of Ebbw Vale, South Wales, (son of David Arnold and Mary Alice Male and husband of Novello Male). He was killed in action whilst on a raid over Gennevilliers near Paris on 29th April 1942 aged 27. He is buried at Bievres Communal Churchyard (Seine et Oise).

Any help you can give would be gratefully received.

    Many thanks

    Sue :)

I have the address of the Air Historical Branch(its address may be on the net) on file somewhere you may be able to get copies of photos and the unit log books as well as any info on the raids your relative took part in.

Don Bruce was an Observer in 115 Squadron around this time and may be able to assist you with information on Sgt Male.

    Go to www.darleys.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/dad.

    E Mail address is donbruce@darleys.co.uk

Thanks for the info Harry and Perce we will go check it out.

Morse I would be very grateful if you could have a look. If you have a group photo maybeyou could scan it and send it to me - we may be able to identify him from that.

Cheers again - every little helps to build a picture doesnt it?

    Sue
