I have been researching 113 squadron in India and Burma for some time and have read the dedicated website many times. I also have the ORBs covering the period. I have become intrigued by the account of LAC Joe Hunter published on the Burma Star Association website of his time with 113 at Imphal but am struggling to find further real information. In particular his reference to 100 men of 113 killed at Imphal including (most particularly) 15 suicides there. I would like to know more about how these losses came about and what drove so many poor men to suicide. My father was with 113 at Palel and just about survived. Any ideas or information? Thank you
